Experience Works is the nation’s largest provider of training and employment services for older workers.

Experience Works helps low-income seniors, with multiple barriers to employment, get the training they need to find good jobs in their local communities.

Experience Works matches mature workers with local businesses seeking reliable experienced employees. Hiring older workers makes good business sense. Not only they have lower absenteeism, and on average, stay on the job longer than younger workers. Experience Works also has special expertise meeting the need of small business owners.

tune changes radically. Todayʼs workers want more than just a paycheck. They want their values and needs satisfied. The new mantra of todayʼs worker is they want Job Satisfaction.

If there are no problems to solve...there is not reason for a job!

Sixty years of research show us that over 50% of the work force is always dissatisfied with their employment. This is a big problem since an employee who isnʼt able to get at least 60-70% of their job satisfaction factors met, will think of quitting their job, get fired or lose the motivation to excel.

Get training for a job

The goal of the Experience Works Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is to provide participants with the training, experience, supportive services and information they need to improve their lives, gain self-sufficiency, realize their goals, obtain permanent employment and meet the needs of a demand-drive workforce.

Based on their employment interests and goals, participants are assigned to qualified nonprofit organizations or government agencies on a part-time basis where they are trained and receive work experience by performing their community service training assignment. While participants receive training, supervision and experience directly from their host agencies, their training wages and fringe benefits are paid by Experience Works.

One Program:

The Putting Experience to Work Program was developed by Experience Works and funded by the Walmart Foundation to help train mature adults for new careers. The money will be used to train 600 to 800 job seekers between the ages of 50 and 62 who are low income, unemployed or underemployed.
